Do you grind your coffee at home?
This helps us recommend the right option.
Unlike heavier, syrupy dark coffees, this one stays smooth and approachable. It performs beautifully across brew methods and remains pleasant as it cools.
La Patrona is a double-fermented coffee roasted in both light and dark, a process pioneered by Ana Maria that creates a rich, creamy cup with layers of complexity. The light roast leans fruity and orange-forward, while the dark reveals deep chocolate notes. Named after Ana herself‚ the fifth-generation farmer who stepped in, took the reins, and became the true La Patrona of her family's, farm.

FAQs
Are there flavors added to the coffee?
No. Absolutely not. We do not add anything to the coffee. The flavors and ntoes you see listed on the bags and dscriptions occur naturally through the harvesting and roasting process. There are no additivies in our coffee whatsoever.
How fresh is the coffee when it arrives?
We roast in small batches and ship within 24 hours of roasting. Your bag arrives vacuum-sealed for peak freshness. For best flavor, we recommend enjoying within 4-6 weeks of the roast date printed on the bag. Though proper storage can keep it fresh for longer.
Is this coffee low acid? Is it bitter?
Our coffee runs smoother than what you'll find on grocery shelves — gentler acidity, and none of the scorched bitterness that comes from mass-roasted commodity beans. We source single-origin Arabica beans from moderate altitudes, roast in small batches, and stop the roast before it turns harsh. The result is coffee that's bold without being bitter, bright without being sharp — smooth enough to drink black. Want it even easier on your stomach? Go with a darker roast and brew through a paper filter (drip, pour-over, Chemex) — both meaningfully reduce acidity. We don't market as a medical "low acid" product, so if you have reflux or GERD, check with your doctor.
What's your return / freshness guarantee?
We don't do returns. We will either issue you a refund or credit toward a future order. We do honor the 30 day trial guarantee. Just email us if you didn't like the coffee, for any reason, and we will issue a refund for the bag of coffee.
Where does this coffee come from?
We source coffees from all over the world. They are organized into two series. Our Farm series comes directly from the farms in Colombia. These are farms we have personally visited. The Persona Series still comes directly from the farms, we just haven't visited, yet.
