Written by Who Is Coffee

Spring has a way of making the morning feel different. The light comes in earlier. You're out the door with somewhere to be. And the last thing you want is a heavy, sluggish cup dragging you back inside.

We've been thinking about what's in our lineup that just fits this time of year — coffees that feel bright and alive, that reward you for slowing down even when the rest of the world is speeding up. Three stood out immediately.

Meet Addison, Jake, and Vicki.

Affable Addison — Light Roast

Origin: Guatemala · Process: Natural

If spring had a coffee, it would be Addison. She's a natural process light roast with a bright floral aroma and a surprisingly approachable personality for something this unique. You might expect a light roast to be sharp or strange — Addison is neither. She's lively and expressive without asking too much of you.

Think: earthy warmth, a little tartness, floral notes that open up as the cup cools. Perfect for mornings when you want your coffee to have character without needing a flavor dictionary to enjoy it.

Named after a dog with boundless energy and a big personality. Appropriate.

Tasting notes: Bright floral aroma · Earthy · Very light body

Jovial Jake — Medium Roast

Origin: Burundi · Process: Washed

Jake is the coffee you reach for when you want to actually enjoy the morning. He's a light-to-medium roast with smooth, mellow flavors and an easygoing vibe that doesn't demand anything from you. No intensity, no bitterness — just a really pleasant, expressive cup that rewards you for taking a few minutes to slow down.

He's ideal if you're stepping outside your comfort zone but don't want to go too far. A great entry point into single-origin coffees. A great everyday cup for people who already know what they like.

Named after a golden retriever with a happy-go-lucky spirit. Also appropriate.

Tasting notes: Smooth · Mellow · Expressive, easygoing profile

Vivacious Vicki — Dark Roast

Origin: Brazil · Process: Natural

Vicki is for the days when spring means go. Hiking trails, weekend markets, road trips with the windows down — days when you need your coffee to keep up. She's a bold, naturally processed dark roast with big earthy flavors and an energetic punch that earns her name.

Don't mistake bold for harsh. Vicki is full of energy without being punishing about it. She's the cup that gets you out the door.

Named after Ben's mom — full of energy and always ready to go, go, go. Very appropriate.

Tasting notes: Bold earthy notes · Energetic flavor bursts · Intense, lively finish
